Sam Wilson


I’ve live in Colorado for 20 years now, 16 of them as a top producing real estate agent and broker.  I grew up mostly in Connecticut and Massachusetts, along with a few years in Ohio.  The son of working-class parents, I learned the definition of hard work and commitment at an early age.  I work until the work is done.  My parents also taught me the value of giving back, and I remember going door to door collecting money for Muscular Dystrophy beginning at age 12.


I started selling stuff in the second grade with my first paper route.  When I took it over only about 10 people in my neighborhood got the paper and by the time I gave it up it was well over 100!  I was always the kid who sold the most of whatever my school was pedaling for fund raising.  I mowed the most lawns, shoveled the most snow and washed the most cars of any kid in town.


In 1985, I graduated Northeastern University in Boston with a dual degree in marketing and finance.  After school, I moved to Chicago to help my folks with a small business start-up.  I began my corporate career with Proctor and Gamble as a sales associate for their food products division, first in Cincinnati, then in Omaha.   From there I landed a sales and marketing position with Polaroid in Tampa.  The remainder of my corporate career was with the Coca-Cola company.  I held several sales and marketing leadership positions and received many awards at Coke until I left after 14 years.  I simply got tired of moving so much and my wife, Pamela, and I fell in love with Colorado.


I began my real estate career in 2002 with Century 21 where I was rookie of the year.  I then went to Keller Williams to be an owner of an office.  At KW I held leadership positions including Mentor, Trainer, and Managing Broker.  While at KW I built a successful team, and moved out on my own to open Wilson Group Real Estate in 2012.

It had been almost 7 years since we last sold a property and we did not remember much about the process when we decided to sell our house. We met with Morgan Malcolm from Wilson Group Real Estate and she explained the entire process and what to expect and we felt very excited sell our house. Morgan set up photographers to come to our home and we were blown away at how great our house looked. Morgan marketed our property for about a week online before we started showings which generated so much interest we had over 20 showings in two days. My husband and I were looking for a home to purchase for almost 3 years. I almost gave up on my search. I then attempted once again on a home and was put in touch with Jeanne Ramsay. Jeanne called me, and we set-up a time to meet in person to discuss our dream home. She showed us our home and gave us all information right from the start. Sam guaranteed the selling price of our house and honored his commitment. We found Sam Wilson and Wilson Group Real Estate through a simple website offering a free price opinion of our home. He kept in touch and when we were ready, we interviewed Sam and listed our house with him. He was very patient and supportive of us as we were not ready to put it on the market for about 3 months after signing up with him. One of the reasons we went with Sam was because he guaranteed to sell our house for our asking price or pay us the difference. We were a bit concerned when we couldn’t get any offers at our asking price and actually asked him if he was keeping our price high so he wouldn’t have to pay out the guarantee. He assured us that this was not the case, and as soon as our situation became more urgent, he immediately suggested a price reduction. We ultimately got a full price cash offer that closed in only 2 weeks and Sam did honor his guarantee amounting to over $3000! Besides the guarantee, Sam and his team did a great job communicating with proactive weekly updates as well as immediately returning calls whenever we had a question or needed help. As engineers, details and follow through are very important to us, and Sam certainly delivered on that aspect of our sale. Also, we were already living in another city when we got the offer and had to close so fast. They made this very easy for us by sending a closing agent to us at work in plenty of time to allow for an on-time closing for the buyer, and we had our money the same day!
